Avast! What else could you expect from Captain Haddock? Alas, I'm shown here sans beard and pipe.  It was a close run thing though, I was going to put that old Wodehouse nugget "Mike nodded. A sombre nod. The nod Napoleon might have given if somebody had met him in 1812 and said, ‘So, you’re back from Moscow, eh?" but really it was too long for the piece of paper.

Oh and apologies for the mess - I am having a big cabin clean out and there is stuff everywhere!

And hey, you actually did the whole "Vox Hunt" thing and posted an image, instead of just writing words like the rest of us.

Ahh, yes, I thought more people would have, but I haven't seen any yet. I did one in Russian too, but decided against it on grounds I don't actually speak Russian.

Do you have Tin Tin in America?

Hmm, I don't think I recognize the name. What is it?

They're old comic books, the main character is a little reporter chap called TinTin and Captain Haddock is also in there. I like Captain Haddock, because he uses random amusing insults and curses full of alliteration and long words, to make up for the fact that Hergé wasn't allowed to swear in comics.

I'm sure you'd not be the worst person to ask. I mean, maybe second or third worst, but you shouldn't be too harsh on yourself. ;)

I don't really read comic books, but I'm a bit of a design geek (ok a lot of a design geek, I watched a film about a font face last week!) and Hergé could really draw and lay things out well.
