Entertainment QotD: Sweet Charity

Scarlett Johannson is auctioning herself off for charity. If you could bid on an evening with any celebrity, who would it be and how much would you be willing to pay?

Apparently you can get Scarlett for $1.04 if you bid now.  That's like what? 57 pence? I'm going to say Scarlett Johannson then, and I'd pay $1.08 cents, as who knows maybe some higher bids will come in as the auction progresses and I'd hate to miss out...

If it weren’t for charity, I’d encourage the bids to go up by 1¢ a time, then someone like you or me could take Miss Johansson out! (You know some rich type is going to come in with a multi-thousand-dollar bid! And why should he have all the fun?)

I totally disagree with this type of auction for that reason, Jack. I think it's far fairer to have everyone bid $5 or something and then decide on a winner at random. I'm sure they'd get as much money and the rich guy wouldn't necessarily win!
